I loved every single part of this wedding.  I love the bride and groom as well as their friends and families.  I love that Frances had a clear vision of what she wanted the Broad Axe Barn to look like (and let me do it!).  But more than that, what made this wedding perfect for me was that Frances and Leo said “this weekend couldn’t have been more perfect – our friends and families – everyone playing music and hanging out – it couldnt have been better.”  During cocktail hour Frances asked me if she could see the room before everyone came in (of course!) - her response was to grin and tell me that this was exactly how she imagined it (as a designer those are the exact words you live for).  So as much as I adored designing a wedding that involved over 100 sprays of phaleonpsis orchids, 7′ tall table arrangements with curly willow and cymbidium orchids wired onto them, gorgeous linens, a cake with sugar flowers and chivari chairs, I am really proud that we were able to execute a once in a lifetime weekend – exactly how they wanted it - for Frances and Leo.  A couple this fantastic deserves nothing less.

Anyone who knows me understands that Grand Lake, Colorado holds a special place in my heart.  So when Sarah called me to discuss designing  wedding flowers for her August wedding at the Western Riveria in Grand Lake, I absolutely jumped at the opportunity.  For Sarah and Matt, we combined late summer soft and fluffy feeling flowers (dahlias, roses, lisianthus and sweet peas) in shades of ivory/cream, pale orange and lavender.  The end result was a traditional garden feeling wedding in a modern (but soft) color combination – one that I am absolutely in love with.

A huge thank you to Sarah and Matt, Rachel Terry of Stellar Photography and the entire crew at the Western Riveria.  We were honored to be a part of this wedding and we cant wait to see you all again.

Pick Me! Floral and Event Design

We are kind of humbled to be included in the Fall/Winter 2010 issue of Brides Colorado.  We absolutely adored working on JR and Amy’s wedding at Devils Thumb Ranch last fall with Jennifer Brankin of Poli Wedding Photography (yes . . .she is the same wonderful lady we did the Arizona wedding shoot with at the Ritz Carlton at Dove Mountain last month)  Here are a few more of our favorite photos from the beautiful November wedding . . .

As promised, the real pictures of this gorgeous white wedding (on possibily the best day of June).  I loved creating this soft and romantic all white palatte out of hydrangeas, peonies, freesia, garden roses and sweet peas.  And the details addded from the Ranch – fantastic!  Thank you to  L Elizabeth Weddings and Events for sharing these gorgeous photos!!
