Shannon and Garvey got married at Devils Thumb Ranch   no comments

I loved working with Shannon and Garvey.  This beautiful Sunday afternoon wedding was kind and intimate (and completely proved me wrong about IPOD weddings, they CAN be fun when everyone at the wedding is an expert salsa dancer!)  I loved the color palatte, the floral choices and the lanterns hanging from the beams in the Timberhouse.

A huge thank you to Yellow Paddle Photography for sharing these lovely images with us!

Karina and Marcus – Devils Thumb Ranch Wedding   no comments

I think it is pretty obvious that I love my job – I love where I get to work and live and I love the people that I am fortunate enough to work with.  Karina and Marcus were no exception.  I think Karina and I talked just as much about Sayulita, Mexico as we did about her wedding.  I am lucky that I keep finding like souls to work with.  Now with no further ado – some of Casey Wigatow’s (of Two One Photography) gorgeous pictures of this beautiful July wedding at Devils Thumb Ranch.

This was the 3rd wedding this season where I was given a color palatte of orange, green and purple and told to “make something ususual and fun”.  Kermit mums, veronica, mokara orchids and orange voodoo roses and I was in love!  Thank you for trusting us to design your day.  And here is to the annual surf trip to Sayulita!

Kate and Brett – Wildhorse Inn Wedding   no comments

Just a few pictures of Kate and Brett’s September wedding at Wildhorse Inn.  Rami designed a striking floral design using hydrangeas, dahlias and roses in shades of green, burgundy and purple.  Against the fall backdrop of the Wildhorse Inn, these colors were stunning!  And we love the carnation poms that lined the ceremony aisle.

Etta and Matt, thank you for trusting us with the details of the day.  You were both absolutely glowing.  And a huge thank you to the A+ team of vendors who we worked with to pull off this fabulous day.  Venue – Devils Thumb Ranch, Photography – Brinton Studios, Flowers and Coordination – Pick Me!, Cupcake – Teacup Bakery, DJ – Elite DJ, Hair and Makeup – Christina Trostel (The Parlour Denver Highlands) and Dress – Anna-Be.

Tina and Charlie’s Devil’s Thumb Ranch Thursday wedding   no comments

The minute Tina called and started talking about her wedding – I knew I liked her.  She is kind, madly in love with Charlie and has her priorities in order.  Her side of the conversation went something like this – “it’s a small wedding and I dont really want a lot of flowers because it’s really all about the dress”  OK – I said – then she started to describe the dress.  Anyone who loves weddings KNOWS this dress, after a second of describing it I said “the cap sleeve lace Monique Lluillier with the keyhole back – uummmmm, yeah, I know that dress – I dont blame you!”  Tina – the dress is absolutely stunning.  Enjoy these gorgeous photos from the lovely CR and Tiffany Brinton of Brinton Studios.  Click here to see the rest of this love story on their blog!

Lindsey and Dave’s wedding at Devils Thumb Ranch   no comments

I loved this wedding.  I love any bride who emails me to check in while on a surf trip in Nicaragua (I have to say – that was a first!).  To any groom who is adorable as his fiance and I have a late night phone call discussing linen options (while we surf the web together) during the final game of the Stanley Cup – I raise my hat to you.  It was an honor to create the floral design and serve as the day-of coordinator for this beatiful late August wedding at Devils Thumb Ranch.  And Paige Elizabeth absolutely knocked our socks off with these pictures (check out the one of Lindsey and Dave slow dancing under the lights on the deck – stunning).

For Lindsey and Dave, we created a custom graphic to use throughout the day.  It found its way onto the invitations, on the website, on the program, etc so it only made sense to create a life sized version of it as well!  The photos below are absolute perfection – the moment the Lindsey and Dave saw each other for the first time.

To suprise the happy couple – Lindsey’s Mom arranged for every guest to hold up a handmade sign wishing the newleyweds love.

For the floral design, we selected a color palatte of green, blue and purple and created the bouquets out of cymbidium orchids, hydrangea, mokara orchids, iris and spray roses.  A huge basket of pashminas was set out  for the guests during cocktail hour and by dusk  nearly every woman at the wedding had one wrapped around her shoulders.  Instead of traditional centerpieces – yummy cakes, pies and brownies from Whole Foods were placed on each table.  Table names – Economist Covers (a great choice for any couple who meets and falls in love in business school).  Since the tables were full with desserts (as well as family style dinner)  Pick Me! Flowers simply hung floral chandeliers from the beams in the barn.

Lindsey and Dave, thank you for trusing Pick Me Floral and Events with the design and coordination of your wedding.  I cant wait to hear how you two take the world by storm.  I know whatever you two do – it will be BIG!

Katie and Griffin – Devils Thumb Ranch Wedding   no comments

Katie and Griffin got married!  This adorable couple booked and planned the ENTIRE wedding site unseen – no face to face meetings – and we pulled off one of my favorite weddings of the season with some of our favorite people to work with!

From a design point, we built the flowers around bright and happy Colorado Sunflowers accented with viking poms, hypericum berries, purple snapdragons, sweet peas, veronica and lisianthus.  Individual sunflower heads were placed on each plate and the tables were anchored with 12″ reclaimed barnwood boxes filled the purple and yellow blooms.  Overhead we hung iron lanterns (with LED candles) that were accented by Matt of Elite DJ’s fantastic uplighting.  The delicious cupcakes were courtesy of Paula with Teacup and the beautiful pictures are thanks to CR and Tiffany of Brinton Studios .

Katie and Griffin – thank you for trusting us with the details and decor of your wedding day.  Thank you for being fun and remembering what your wedding day is all about (each other!) and thank you for not being afraid to have a shoe change every 2 hours.  Now- for your viewing pleasure – a small collage of Katie’s shoes!

Tanja and Chris – Devils Thumb Ranch Wedding   1 comment

Small wedding – ok.  Middle of the week – sure.  One of the  … most  . . . fun couples on the planet – without a doubt.  Chris and Tanja’s August wedding at Devils Thumb Ranch was a hoot.  And kudos to any bride and groom who can plan a wedding and move across the country – in the same week.  Enjoy these beautiful images from our friend Karina Heneghan!

Rami got to have so much fun with the design of this Kings Table.  Potted plants and succulents were mixed with fresh floral arrangements made from blue hydrangeas, purple lisianthus, cosmos, aster and bells of Ireland.  For height we added some manzanita branches and for a lush feeling at the bottom, we ran green garland mixed with candles.  Each table setting was accented with a sprig of lavender and rosemary.

Now – I am not saying that our weddings are more fun than other peoples – but we do seem to attract those who dance . . .and those who do fan kicks.  The Fever played all night and this crowd never stopped dancing!

Thank you again to Tanja and Chris for remembering that this is FUN!  Check out Karina’s Facebook page for the rest of these pictures (and lots more dancing and photobooth silliness!)
