Love This Day!
Julie and Andre – Devils Thumb Ranch Wedding no comments
As we gear up for a super busy week, I just realized that this is the 1 year anniversary of one of my favorite weddings from last season at Devils Thumb Ranch. Julie and Andre reminded me why I love what I do. Enjoy these delicious pictures from Jenna Walker Photography.
It is supposed to be FUN! So start off with a party for the kids and end with a gorgeous dinner for the adults. Why not??
Every detail was personal to Julie and Andre. Yellow was a theme that meant something special to the couple so it was used throughout the day. First date was Mulberries so (of course) that is where the delicious cupcakes came from. And if you propose during a scrabble game – you are going to use scrabble letters throughout!!!
Happy Anniversary to you both. Thank you for trusting me with the details of your day. I am sending you and your entire family all the love in the world.

Ivete and Chris – Devils Thumb Ranch Wedding no comments
There were so many reasons I loved this Devils Thumb Ranch wedding. The bride is a fantastic person – gorgeous inside and out (evidenced by the scores of 4 year olds who spent the wedding day lined up to hug her), the groom is a fantastic person (with the coolest 4th grader for a son that I have ever met), their friends and families were FUN and all pitched in to help and their photographer (Steve Z) is pretty darn amazing. Enjoy these gorgeous pictures (and YES, that is Frank Sinatra . . .okay really it’s Derek Evilsizor but . . .I think he really may be Frank Sinatra!!!!)
If the first date you had with the love of your life was a mountain bike ride, why not go for a tandem mountain bike ride on your wedding day?
Again, major kudos to any bride who will participate in a “sport the dress” ( great term from Steve Z) photo shoot ON HER WEDDING DAY (yep, bike ride them back to the reception. Can I say again – I really get to work with great people!!
Yes, if you hire Frank (I mean Derek . . . no, I mean FRANK) to play your wedding – he may end up leading all of your guests in a kickline to New York, New York outside of tent in Tabernash, Colorado. . . .before it is even dark outside. It just got better from there. So. Much. FUN.
If you have married the love of your life, celebrated with your friends and family, ridden a tandem mountain bike (again, in the dress!) and led a kickline, I think you should dance with the one you love . . .
Ivete and Chris, thank you for trusting us with the details of your day. You two have raised the bar for sassy fun weddings. I wish you both a lifetime of love, happiness and an uncrowded mountain bike trails.

Kelly and Keith – Devils Thumb Ranch Wedding no comments
Kelly and Keith’s wedding last week at Devils Thumb Ranch was simply stunning. Neutral linens accented by individual unique lanterns (hand selected by the bride herself as gifts for guests) accented with fun and modern floral accents. For Kelly’s bouquet we used red roses, eggplant mini-callas, protea, thistle, dahlias and a random yellow rose accented with red hypericum berries. The end result was one of my favorite bridal bouquets of all time. Thanks to Brinton Studios for sharing these gorgeous pictures

Katie and Chad – Devils Thumb Ranch Wedding no comments
Katie and Chad’s wedding at Devils Thumb Ranch was simply fantastic. Katie and Chad are fantastic, fun and reminded me what a wedding is all about. And they enjoyed every second of it (from the minute hair and makeup started to jumping into the pool at 11:30 – this couple is about having a darn. . .good . . .time. Personally, I loved the couple, their families and friends and I got to work with an absolutely top notch team of vendors – CR and Tiffany Brinton of Brinton Studios, Matt Kenfield from Elite DJ, Paula Thomas of Teacup, Christina Trostel from the Parlour and Michael Lancaster on Bagpipes. Well, now that I have announced the band – here are some of the gorgeous photos!
Remember, if you combine paper airplanes with friends and cocktails, you may get decked. Miss Katie’s solution, go outside and hulla hoop. Did I mention these two are the best?
I think they loved this day. And now for some of the hysterical photobooth shots (complete with some Goverment Mule lyrics . . .) and a late night dip in the pool.
yep, that is how we do things at Pick Me. Katie and Chad, thank you for being fantastic. We ARE going to Panic next year together.

I loved this wedding. I loved the bride and groom. I loved the color palatte. I loved the details. I loved the team of vendors that I was fortunate enough to get to work with. I simply loved this day . . .Enjoy these gorgeous pictures from CR and Tiffany Brinton of Brinton Studios. Thanks again to Devils Thumb Ranch, Paige and Krista of Peekay Designs, 40 Gallon Still ( a great Colorado Bluegrass Band!) and Paula Thomas of Teacup Bakery for those yummy pies. Here are a few of my favorites . . .to see the rest of the story, hop on over to Brinton Studios gorgeous blog!
Major props to any bride and groom who can ignore the cold. And I mean cold (it started snowing later that day – yes, on June 12) Ketubah signing outside in a stunning meadow - why not??
Wow, I absolutely adore this picture . . .and I am considering changing all of our current marketing to incorporate it. After all, Colorado Ranch weddings are kinda turning into our thing . . . For the flowers, we worked off a soft peach, cream and pink color palette (seriously, colors completely inspired by the spring cardigan collection from J Crew this year . . .) with big fluffy feather-y (is that a word?) flowers including peonies, roses, snapdragons, lisianthus and garden roses.
Instead of a traditional seating chart, guests names were written on antique windows. Floor length muslin curtains adorned either side of the barn doors in the Broad Axe Barn. Did I mention the 300+ candles and the twinkle lights hanging from the beams made the room absolutely glow??
Kelly and Kevin, thank you for being fun and doing something HUGE. I cant wait to hear all about Italy! There were so many gorgeous pictures from June 12, I have a feeling there will be more details to come!

A lovely bride, a lovely groom and a calf named Norman. Here are a few of the beautiful pictures from Rachel Terry of Stellar Photography of this gorgeous Devils Thumb Ranch wedding. We were so happy to create an all white floral palatte using the last of the season’s gorgeous black centered anemonies. Enjoy!

Here is one of our favorite winter weddings – EVER. Not only did we get to create something classic (all white flowers) with a twist (antique mix and match mercury glass – yep, I am now kind of obsessed with it) we were able to work with two of the kindest people on the planet – and we got a great new friend out of the deal. Thanks again for dinner the other night Lesa – next week, bbq on the porch!!
Thank you again to our friends, CR and Tiffany Brinton of Brinton Studios for these gorgeous photos, Paula Thomas from Teacup for the yummy cakes, Matt Kenfield from Elite DJ for getting the entire crowd to dance NON stop for 5 hours and Devils Thumb Ranch for hosting one of our favorite Winter Park weddings of all time.
